Even the best turntable still plays rumble
Every record was cut on a turntable with rumble — and that rumble was copied straight into the grooves. A conventional filter only helps a little.
The problem
Rumble comes from the turntable bearing, motor and floor vibrations, and it was baked into the record itself when it was mastered. Traditional rumble filters blunt bass frequencies and steal life from the music to reduce it.
The Derumbleizer difference
The Derumbleizer works by comparing the phase of the bass. Rumble is out-of-phase vertical movement of the stylus; music is in-phase lateral movement. The out-of-phase rumble is canceled without touching the in-phase music — so you get true cancellation, not a filter.
Why the Derumbleizer works
Most rumble is vertical stylus movement making out-of-phase bass; most music is lateral movement making in-phase bass. The Derumbleizer separates the two and cancels only the rumble.
Leaves music intact
In-phase bass music is kept, out-of-phase bass rumble is canceled. Your ears can't localize bass anyway, and the bass is genuinely monophonic — so nothing audible is lost.

Will it work with my moving-coil phono cartridge?
Not yet. A version with moving-coil circuitry is in development. The current Basic model is designed for moving-magnet cartridges.
Can I use it if my amplifier has no phono input?
Yes. The Derumbleizer includes a high-performance RIAA phono preamp, so it connects to an aux/line input, a computer sound card, or a stereo that has no phono stage.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes — Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, plus eChecks, processed securely through PayPal. Money orders, checks and cash are also accepted.
